The general goal of this site is to introduce complex-system sciences to psychiatry in an attempt to reconceptualize mental disorders as perturbations to optimal brain organization

Sub-goals

i. Creating a novel brain-related systems-based diagnostic system for psychiatry, a ‘Brain Profiling’ diagnosis.

ii. Developing a ‘basic-science’ for psychiatry based on neuralcomputation neuroscience theories. These theories are potentially powerful integrators of knowledge, which is currently divided between biological psychiatry, psychology and psychotherapy. A preliminary formulation of such integration is given in the manuscript titled ‘NeuroAnalysis.

iii. Developing the novel approach of ‘NeuroAnalysis’ and ‘Brain Profiling’ for effective treatments of mental disorders.
